Ceramide Moisturizer Review (Combination skin)
Foxtale 5x Hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer - Love it, HG. WRP.
Texture: Creamy, smooth texture which might feel greasy if used in excess
Usage Timeline: 1 year, AM/PM both
Fragrance: Has a slight floral kinda smell, love it
Experience: I love the immensely hydrating and moisturizing effect of this cermaide moisturizer. It smoothens the skin immensely however oily, combination skin types can't use it daily, other skin types can. The fragrance is pleasant and soothing. This will last you for long time as little quantity is required for each use. The fact that this is immensely moisturizing makes it perfect to use if you have damaged skin barrier. However some may find the fragrance little irritating on a damaged barrier. This is good to keep barrier healthy if you are into chemical exfoliation.
Deconstruct 1% Ceramide Moisturizer - Good enough and WNRP
Texture: Non greasy cream type
Usage Timeline: 6 months, PM/AM both
Fragrance : fragrance free
Experience: This is my favourite budget friendly ceramide moisturizer and I thoroughly loved using it. It gives an instant moisturizing effect. However, it may not be feasible to use it every day due to the texture for combination, oily skin type. However, this one will quickly repair the skin barrier in case it is damaged badly. Moreover it is fragrance free so damaged, sensitised skin won't further be irritated. It may be a good alternative to Foxtale one in case you are looking for a fragrance free one. The tube however needs to be cut to take out the remaining product.
Earth Rhythm Phyto-Ceramide Deep Moisturiser - Good enough but WNRP.
Texture: gel cream but thick
Usage Timeline: 6 months, AM, PM both
Fragrance: fragrance free
Experience: It is super moisturizing without any heaviness and greasiness. I used it for a long time and when my product was 3/4 th empty, remaining 1/4 the product I had to take out via a spatula by removing the cap. The goodness of cermaide moisturizer (like the thick part of moisturizer) seemed to have settled at the bottom as I couldn't pump it out. If you are looking for a good ceramide moisturizer give it a try, however due to packaging I won't repurchase.
Dr Sheth’s Ceramide & Vitamin C Oil Free Moisturizer - Love it, currently using. HG. WRP.
Texture: gel cream, applies as gel
Usage Timeline: 2 months, AM PM both
Fragrance: fragrance free
Experience: gel based, oil free, ceramide moisturiser that blends easily and doesn’t leave your skin feeling heavy. The gel cream texture makes it suitable as an everyday moisturizer for combination, oily skin. It can be a good moisturizer for dry, normal skin types when used in skincare layering. Don't rely on 1% vitamin C for reducing your pigmentation as mentioned by the brand.
BeBodywise 1% Peptide & Ceramide Moisturizer - Love it, HG. WRP.
Texture: gel cream, applies as gel
Usage Timeline: 2 months, AM PM both
Fragrance: fragrance free
Experience: gel based, oil free, ceramide moisturiser that blends easily and doesn’t leave your skin feeling heavy. The gel cream texture makes it suitable to be used everyday for combination, oily skin. It is very similar to Dr Sheth's one mentioned above just that it's a light more hydrating than Dr Sheth's. Just one problem is, the gel is dispensed as soon as you open the cap, apart from this I love it.
Plum Hemp & Ceramides Moisturizer With Algae Oil & Aloe Extracts - Fail. WNRP
Texture: light weight cream
Usage Timeline: 3 months AM/PM
Fragrance: Has an algae kind smell
Experience: It doesn’t moisturize my combination skin much or maybe since I used it in last winters it was insufficiently moisturizing. The major drawback for me was the fragrance, algae kind of fragrance (the raw banana fragrance kind). Looking at the ingredients, you can give this one a try!
Dot and Key Barrier Repair Face Cream with Ceramides - Fail*, WNRP!!!!*
Texture: light weight cream
Usage Timeline: 1 month, PM
Fragrance: no smell, fragrance ree
Experience: This is my first ever product I picked up without checking the ingredients' list and just by checking the texture on Instagram reels. The product in itself is good, but whenever I apply it to my skin I experience small zits (3-4) at random places. I tried it many times and finally started using it as a hand cream. I prefer to keep my skin acne free and won't apply any product just to finish it even if I buy with my own money. Definitely skip this one if you have acne prone skin. Please don't hate me for saying this.
Dr. Sheth’s Cica & Ceramide Overnight Repair Face Serum - WNRP since I found better alternatives for lesser price than this
Texture: light weight cream
Usage Timeline: 4 months, AM, PM both
Fragrance: fragrance free, used a long time back so can't remember the fragrance
Experience: Although it is named serum, consider this as a light weight moisturizer for combination and oily skin and can be used as a standalone product. In case of this serum, little goes a long way but the price is a deterrent for me according to the quantity offered.
