I purchased D'You's Hustle serum a couple of months back after seeing a lot of rave reviews on Instagram. Here's a quick review. The serum is packaged in a cute blue bottle and comes with a free cute pouch. It is quite expensive, priced at Rs. 3,200 for 30ml but I decided to invest in it looking at the ingredient list. Texture wise, the serum is slightly sticky. It leaves a slightly tacky feeling on application which reduces if you dab it onto your face instead of rubbing. The tackiness disappears in a few minutes. It also has a really mild fragrance which I do not prefer, but doesn't bother me too much. I've used the serum a few times at night. It gives a nice immediate glow & hydrated look to my face and my skin feels super smooth & bright the next day. However, each time I use this I get breakouts near my chin area that are really stubborn and painful! After the first few pimples, I gave this serum a break and tried it again this week. Same issue! 😔 Feels like a huge waste of money. I can't even be sure what is causing me to break out since this product has 11 ingredients!

Minimalist Retinoid 2% Review

  Have been using this for almost 2 months now and here is my experience: I have sensitive, combination acne-prone skin, and I have a fair complexion so even slight irritation is very evident on my skin. I use this once a week, and I don't use any other active a day before and after it (sometimes I leave more days in the between). Hasn't irritated my skin and never got a 'purge' with it. Although, sometimes, I do get a breakout or two the next day, but nothing severe (dies out pretty quickly), and I expect that with a vit-A product. I also use glyco-6 and Minimalist SA once a week (on separate days). But I have been using these two ingredients for way longer, so I know that these recent changes in my skin are due to this Retinoid.
