Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream Review

My thoughts on the product: So, storytime guys. Time and time again, I got proof that niacinamide doesn't suit my skin. But with that damn ingredient being everywhere and me choosing to ignore my previous lesson, I used the Loreal Anti-Spot Whitening Derm White Essence.

I am by no far, a skincare newbie but I screwed up here. Big time.

Not only did my spots show any signs of lightening, but instead I was rewarded with huge ass red pimples on both sides on my cheeks and chin. It was like a freaking maize crop grew on my face overnight.

And believe me. For one week I tried EVERYTHING. Just using a cleanser and moisturizer (Simple Light), using snail mucin (which did somehow calm them down), and even changing my bedsheets and pillows everyday because of me being paranoid.

It was then I remembered that I have got some samples of the Klairs Blue Midnight Calming Cream (such a mouthful) in my stash, thanks to Limeseconnect. And it was supposed to be really good for calming down aggravated skin.

At this point, I had nothing to lose so decided to try it out.

So, I cleansed my face, applied 2 pumps of Cosrx Snail Mucin, and applied a thick layer of the Klairs Blue Calming cream (the sample size is generous).

And I am not even kidding that my skin calmed down so so much and felt so much better after 1 hour of application. The redness went down considerably and the damn itching went down (which helped in me not wanting to touch my face).

Needless to say, that I ordered the largest size of it right away.

Long story short, my skin is so much better now. No pimples, but the marks are here. I have slowly started introducing the Minimalist Alpha Arbutin, and it seems to agree with my skin. The rest of my skincare routine is extremely minimal for now.

I can't be happy enough with this cream. This has been a life saviour for me. I just hope Klairs don't stop the production of this cream. Ever.

And also fuck you Niacinamide (sorry to those people who love it).

Side effects: None for me. Might feel heavy to some. But wasn't too much of a issue for me.

Final verdict: Honestly, 1000/5.

If there was one thing I could buy with the last pennies of my broke ass, it would be this. This saved my skin. But I would highly advice you to get some sample sizes first and test it out. 2k is a lot to spend on a product that won't work for you.

Repurchase status: Holy freaking grail. Will repurchase forever.
