La Shield & IPCA UV Gel Sunscreen review

 

I bought these sunscreens almost a month ago.

  1. La sheild sunscreen- I bought the spf 40 variant believing it to be of gel texture. That's my mistake but my skin didn't mind it's texture and it didn't break me out. Apart from that, the sunscreen smells like fair and lovely. I absolutely HATE the fragrance of this sunscreen. Also, the texture is VERY creamy and very heavy. I'm lucky it didn't break me out. The sunscreen pills around the eye area and if you sweat, the sunscreen goes in the eye and makes them water. Also, it does leave a white cast if you use sufficient amount. I use 3 finger rule and my skin looks a little white for like for like 5 minutes. I'm very fair and even then I have to really work the sunscreen for it to leave my skin less white. Idk if it made sense. But I wouldn't recommend this sunscreen for people with deeper skin tone. WNRP.

  2. Acne uv sunscreen- I lurked around this sub a lot and found some rave reviews for this sunscreen. I bought the spf 30 variant as almost all the reviews that I saw were of this variant. I was really excited for this sunscreen. However, it was disappointing, to say the least. It smells like baby powder and pills like crazy. I'm not kidding, my face had literal white and ashy residue after using it. I didn't even leave my house much and didn't sweat in it. I wore my mask for around 5 minutes with this and it pilled all over my cheeks. Also, it's texture is not as light as I expected it to be after reading those reviews. I'm just gonna finish this sunscreen as it was quite expensive for me even after the discount. WNRP.

  My Experience- It blends very easily & just melts into the skin similar to Korean sunscreen & does not leave any white cast at all, so it will be suitable for all skin shade. It settles to somewhat matte finish & does not make face shiny at all. It does not sting my eyes & I’m really happy with that as every sunscreen does (my eyes are very sensitive). Minimalist Retinoid 2% Review

  Have been using this for almost 2 months now and here is my experience: I have sensitive, combination acne-prone skin, and I have a fair complexion so even slight irritation is very evident on my skin. I use this once a week, and I don't use any other active a day before and after it (sometimes I leave more days in the between). Hasn't irritated my skin and never got a 'purge' with it. Although, sometimes, I do get a breakout or two the next day, but nothing severe (dies out pretty quickly), and I expect that with a vit-A product. I also use glyco-6 and Minimalist SA once a week (on separate days). But I have been using these two ingredients for way longer, so I know that these recent changes in my skin are due to this Retinoid.
