Moisturex hydra review for oily and 7 comparisions!

 

Routine - Bioderma sebium gel moussant, moisturer, ipca acne sunscreen. Epiduo Forte everyday in pm and sometimes SA

moisturisers i have used in the past - Comparision are made for every factor at the end using these legends.

  • A) Ponds Superlight gel

  • B) Plum oil free moisturiser

  • C) minimalist 10% B5 silicone free version

  • D) IPCA acne oc

  • E) Re'equil oil free

  • F) Excela

  • G) Isntree Green tea emulsion

  • H) Moisturex Hydra

Photo. Produtct Link This product was recco by my dermat as a replacement to ipca acne oc as its batch started to pill suddenly. Interesting ingredient list nevertheless.

  • Consistency- thin gel like, similar to plum

  • Smell - fragrance free, smells like a sweet sugar water pharma product (literally has stevia in it)

  • Absorption - It absorbs as quickly as ipca oc, really quick

    • h, d > b > a, g > e, f >c

  • After application feel - It makes the skin soft compared to other moisturisers. lighlty cooling like a good moisturiser. similar strengths to ipca oc like it allows easy application of a thicker layer on days when u need more without feeling heavy which i feel is a really strong point.

    • d, h > b > e > a, f, g >>> c

  • Hydration - on par with ipca oc. Hydration powered by sugar molecules, urea and 2 amino acids. It might look different due to their different post applications looks. Much better than ponds super light or plum oil free

    • h,f, g, e, d > c > a > b

  • After application looks - hydrated, supple and non shiny. Looks a little morecosmetically elegant for me, compared to ipca oc. Thanks to silica it looks more matte

    • h, f > d, > g, e, a > b >> c

  • Soothing level - None but does not oill when layered with Sebium hydra for skin undergoing tret or 0.3% adapalene. Potential for little irritation is same as ipca for skin on tr€t/adapalene, goes away with absorption.

  • •oil control - ipca has better instant oil absoportion when reapplying during the day, but otherwise they are same

Minimalist Retinoid 2% Review

  Have been using this for almost 2 months now and here is my experience: I have sensitive, combination acne-prone skin, and I have a fair complexion so even slight irritation is very evident on my skin. I use this once a week, and I don't use any other active a day before and after it (sometimes I leave more days in the between). Hasn't irritated my skin and never got a 'purge' with it. Although, sometimes, I do get a breakout or two the next day, but nothing severe (dies out pretty quickly), and I expect that with a vit-A product. I also use glyco-6 and Minimalist SA once a week (on separate days). But I have been using these two ingredients for way longer, so I know that these recent changes in my skin are due to this Retinoid.
