Muji Mild Cleansing Oil Review

Concerns: Skin texture/ Sebaceous filaments

My thoughts on the product: My main agenda of using a cleansing oil was to remove the remnants of sebaceous filaments from my nose. These suckers make my nose area seem extremely textured, rough, and basically like Satan's butthole.

The first time I double cleansed using this oil and touched my nose, I couldn't believe it. It was soft and actually felt human. I didn't experience any breakouts or irritations and my skin felt softer and sort of glowy (this might be my overactive imagination). It seemed like an instant HG for this factor but I am keeping my options open for now.

Because it's winter, I skipped the oil cleansing part for a few days (laziness tbh) and my face actually felt different- more unclean and rough. This is such a no-frills product whose absence I terribly felt only when I eliminated it from my routine.

The texture of the oil is runny which makes it hard to control but my oily skin loves it because of how light it is. You need 2-3 pumps to cover your face and neck. Once it comes in contact with water it turns into a milky emulsion that washes off easily. I haven't experienced any film left after rinsing it off.

I have been using it for 3 weeks now and have barely made a dent. Despite the price, it is quite cost effective and will last you a long, long time. However if you happen to not like it for some reason it will be a nightmare to finish the bottle.

Side effects: None for me. Didn't sting my eyes when removing eye makeup but will definitely make your eyes feel cloudy if it gets inside (which is to be expected I guess).

Final verdict: 5/5

Repurchase status: WRP (Possible HG)
