• My skin type: Oily-combo acne-prone dehydrated skin

• Climatic conditions the product was tested in: hot and humid during summers, cold and humid during winters

• Routine at the time of using the product: Used it at the toner step, immediately after cleansing

• Age range: 20s

• Usage timeline: Give or take, about one year

• Ingredient list

• Texture: amber coloured. watery and light.

• Fragrance: nothing significant, the ginseng scent is negligible.

• PROS:

• lightweight • can be used all year round • hydrating enough for my skin type • quite moisturizing for my oily skin. was able to walk out without any follow-up serum or moisturizer on the hot sunny days • soothing - the panthenol in it helped with the calming effects. could also easily use it post chemical exfoliation • added benefits of the 2% niacinamide • did not break me out

• CONS:

• not as easily absorbed on my skin. significant wait time • left a shine post application, that i didn't always appreciate • may not be hydrating enough for people with dry skin • cannot comment on the anti-aging benefits • availability and price

• Decent hydrating toner, but not HG status. MRP.

  My Experience- It blends very easily & just melts into the skin similar to Korean sunscreen & does not leave any white cast at all, so it will be suitable for all skin shade. Minimalist Retinoid 2% Review

  Have been using this for almost 2 months now and here is my experience: I have sensitive, combination acne-prone skin, and I have a fair complexion so even slight irritation is very evident on my skin. I use this once a week, and I don't use any other active a day before and after it (sometimes I leave more days in the between). Hasn't irritated my skin and never got a 'purge' with it. Although, sometimes, I do get a breakout or two the next day, but nothing severe (dies out pretty quickly), and I expect that with a vit-A product. I also use glyco-6 and Minimalist SA once a week (on separate days). But I have been using these two ingredients for way longer, so I know that these recent changes in my skin are due to this Retinoid. My skin has become more even-toned, smoother, radiant and healthier with this. Even Glyco-6 couldn't get rid of my bumpy acne texture but this did.
