Review- MINIMALIST VITAMIN K+ RETINAL 01% EYE CREAM

○ CONSISTENCY: Lightweight and has a watery consistency, slightly yellowish , disappears completely after blending (as shown in the image)

○ QUANTITY OF PRODUCT USED FOR APPLICATION: I used 1 drop under my eye, 1 near crow's feet area and another drop over the eyelids and massaged gently.

♦️ I have big eyes. That's the only reason I used 3 drops for each eye, because 1 drop covered only my under eye area and was not sufficient to cover the rest . That's the reason I had to use slightly excess.

○ FREQUENCY OF USAGE: Initially used everyday in my PM routine. Later reduced the frequency to alternate days( due to reasons mentioned in review part) .

○ LITTLE ABOUT ME:

I have never been a fan of eyecreams and never used one before. Since most of the products from minimalist have worked for me in past, I decided to give this a try and the ingredients were also fascinating. Before buying this eyecream, I only used toner, serum and moisturizer which I use for my face in PM routine and sunscreen in AM routine. This was my first eyecream.

        It's only been a month , since I started using this eyecream so couldn't comment much on dark circles or wrinkles. It's decently hydrating . I feel dark circles have reduced a bit?! BUT⬇️⬇️⬇️

    🚫 Every time I use this, the next day morning , I could feel that my eyes being slightly dry and itchy which lasted only for about an hour. 

As mentioned in directions for use in the packaging ,initially I applied this directly on the skin around my eyes , and used nothing else. I faced slight dryness and itchiness in my eyes the next day morning which lasted only for an hour as mentioned before . I ignored it🤦‍♀️

Since it contains retinal, I thought that could be the reason for dryness and I decided to apply a thick layer of moisturizer beneath and then applied the eye cream, but still faced mild dryness and itchiness in my eyes the next day as mentioned before. I ignored it again and continued using it by reducing the frequency from every day to alternate days. Every night I use this eye cream , I experienced dry eyes and itchiness( in my eyes not the skin around eyes) for just less than an hour next day morning and I still continued using, ignoring all the signs.

🚫🚫Finally few days ago , as usual I applied this with moisturizer beneath it in my PM routine and from the next day morning till night ,the usual dryness and itchiness in my eyes got intensified ,due to which I couldn't sleep the entire night. In my entire life I never had the problem of dry eyes and never took any medications for the same. Right now I'm using artificial tear substitute to treat this issue.🚫🚫

MY EYES ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN WRINKLES OR DARK CIRCLES. SO I DECIDED TO DITCH THIS PRODUCT .

🚫PEOPLE WHO ALREADY HAVE DRY EYES, PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHILE USING THIS.🚫

I don't know how I would finish the entire tube. May be I would atleast try it as a spot treatment for my acne and will update in this same post in future if it works.
